OJ never tasted so good. I wish cleanup was a bit faster but they make it as painless as possible. Very simple and easy to use. Just a great product.

I spend a long time choosing this product. I had a cheaper, white plastic tea cattle, it worked just fine, but I really wanted stainless model. Breville looks and feels great. I’ve had it almost two years now. Had no problems with the smell or taste. We live in a area with very hard water, I was somewhat concerned. Never had any issues, works great and fast. My mom doesn’t like that when the water is pored before it boils and the unit is returned to the base it doesn’t stop boiling. It doesn’t bother me at all, since it will stop once it gets to boiling temp, plus I can always turn it off manually if I don’t need it bring water to boiling temp.
We think our Breville is absolutely wonderful. It’s fast and the bell sounds so you know when it’s ready. It matches all of our stainless steel equipment so I give it an “A-”. It would be an “A” but, it does show finger prints easily so I have to wipe it off often.
Seeking to replace my 25 y/o English tea kettle that I first learned to use at university in Leicester, outside of London, I did not find a suitable current, equivalent replacement, so I went to the Amazon Reviews: good thought. The reviews were uniform: Breville. Well, I thought a bit more expensive and I never heard of the name: a well kept secret. I went for it and thrilled that i did. The manufacturer did think of everything the average sophisticated used would desire: the cord tucks away nicely and easily, handsome too, top opens with a touch, fills easily and you can see inside how much water, from the outside there is an illuminated (terrific blue) measure of the contents, a touch of the switch and it heats..the switch might be a bit larger, but a minor detail. Heats very quickly, no hot steam escapes to burn you when you pick it up, it sits comfortably on the stand and when ready automatically shuts off, easy to remove and replace and the stand never moves, great: when you pour there is never a hint that boiling water is being dispensed because the handle never gets hot or exposed to steam and you never even get close to touching the kettle itself. I like the tall design vs the fat squat, more stable easy to clean, no crevices or joints to get dirty. Price/quality, the best I have bought.
My wife is from England and drinks copious amounts of tea. We had a Zojirushi hot water pot (over $100) which we were in love with; I thought you couldnt get any better than that. It broke on our cross-country trip. We were devestated. We ‘settled’ for a cheaper Breville, and it is turning out to be a heck-of-a-lot better. Why? because it is ALL stainless except for the top and the handle. Zojirushi has lots of plastic. Moreover, you dont have to leave it ON all the time, just only when you want hot water. Moreover it heats up faster. Moreover it is a kettle and not a hot water dispenser. You have to take it off the base, which makes it more of a beverage making experience. Two different animals, but when I think of it, I much prefer the Breville. Plus it looks REAL cool and is less bulky! Dont settle for a cheaper kettle; get the Breville.
We’ve had the same old B&D toaster over for 15 years and it finally became too much of an eyesore in our kitchen. We did a lot of research and shopping and there were so many choices it was very confusing. We decided we wanted a plain old toaster oven – for, of all things, toasting bread! Of course we use it for other general baking and it excels in all areas. It is a beautiful addition to our kitchen, easy to use, and bakes perfectly with easy presets and selections. It’s a bit pricey, but we couldn’t find anything cheaper that did what we wanted and looked like it belonged in a nice kitchen.
Outstanding product… compact, well-designed and of extremely high quality. Precise temperature control, and all those individual settings aren’t just for show, either; each one really does correspond – through differences in temperature, which heating elements are in use, and the length of time they cycle on and off – to the food item being prepared. Great results across the board… by far the best toaster oven I’ve ever owned.
This oven is well designed, attractive and does an excellent job baking and toasting. Frozen waffles come out nicely browned and not soggy (our old one always burned them). It toasts more evenly than any toaster oven I’ve seen, but I wish it would get the toast darker. After it has been toasting for a while, the heating elements cycle which makes it difficult to get toast really dark.
The controls are convenient and simple to use as well as flexible. My wife wishes that the rack would pull out when the door is opened (it doesn’t). It is also somewhat inconvenient to have to move the rack up and down depending on what is being prepared.
All in all, we’re quite satisfied with the oven and would buy it again. This is not a convection oven which is just fine with us as it bakes evenly and is quiet.
The Breville Oven is amazing. I can almost eliminate my large oven for this smart oven. It will bake a pie, banana bread, re-heat my pizza and toast my bread perfectly! And, the amount of time to bake is less than it would have been in my oven. Very economical, the only change I would make for this product is add a light inside the toaster and that’s not critical. Would recommend this product to anyone without reservation.
I’ve had this product for several weeks and absolutely love it. It’s solid and extremely functional. Even the ‘toast’ setting works well. It feels and works like a professional piece of kitchen equipment and looks terrific. I’d recommend it to everyone despite the price because ” you get what you pay for “.
Researched toaster ovens for about a month, came to the conclusion that the Breville would work out for me, and it surpassed all my expectations and then some!
Five stars!
This oven replaced a Krups oven that worked well, until it failed (after five years). The Breville oven is considerably more expensive. The greater number of settings and controls is nice. The lower minimum “warm” temperature is quite useful for allowing dough to rise. Overall the oven functions well.
Whether this Breville made-in-China oven will outlast the Krups made-in-China oven is a question. Is this another disposable appliance? I hope not, but it be years before I know.
I purchased the Breville countertop oven through Amazon.com. It arrived with a broken heating coil in the top of the oven. It had been taken with me, unopened, in its original packing box to my home in Mexico. When I discovered, upon opening the box, that the coil was broken, I immediately emailed the company asking how to obtain a replacement part. I received a form email saying to ship the oven back for replacement. I again emailed explaining again that I live in Mexico and to ship the oven back to the States for a replacement oven to be reshipped would be prohibitively expensive with the shipping costs both ways and customs duty. I again requested just the one replacement piece. Breville replied that they do not have replacement parts and my only option is to send back the oven. So it sits unused and unusable in my kitchen pantry. Moral of the story: if you do not live in the United States, do not purchase a product online and take it with you to your home. The guarantee will not be valid if something is wrong unless you can return it to the States and have it reshipped to an address in the States.
This machine got such rave reviews when it first came out, so I had high expectations about the quality of the coffee. Unfortunately, it does not brew a great cup, and the machine itself has started to fall apart quickly. It pauses, hiccups, and shuts off unexpectedly and the plastic housing for the cups is falling apart.
I bought this product from Amazon in March, and after using it for a couple of weeks it ran into the same problems that everyone mentioned previously. I contacted the manufacturer and was told they were getting a new supply in June, or I could have a refurbished unit to replace my defective one. Remembering the comments of people who had exchanged units before I decided to wait…and sent a note the first week of June to thew manufacturer. I was told they are expecting supply at the END of June. So…because of poor manufacturing I have been denied the use of a product I paid good money for.
